Hi

Hi all,

It's a beautiful sun shining day, clarity of the light as it illuminates every inch of the visible is amazing. It fills me with joy and wonder. Like that of a two year old child who has tasted her first gelato in the midst of 90 degree heat. Without the sun I frown more, here in the Sunset of SF the sun shines less but when it shines I feel like Marcel Marceau when the light shines through his dark eyes on stage as he moves so silently.Lavender and orange glow through pitch black nothingness.I hope you enjoy these images I've posted. When I do art it is a challenge and a privilege. Art springs from ones soul and emotions but alas is tempered with thought and analysis. It is life affirming creation, a striving to communicate that yes, hey world I am here, I exist.

SF Artspan Auction Tonight!

Wow, tonight a drawing I did called Rhapsody will be auctioned off At a gala event in SF,at Artspan.
It is a mixed media original drawing done with  charcoal, conte, chalk and pencil. I  hope that whomever may purchase this piece will find  joy and happiness upon its change of ownership.
I spent several hours trying to capture the life of my model. I  try to evoke the essence of skin and bones using line, marks, shape and form.Capturing the spirit of the person and her uniqueness is very important to me. The placement on the page is key,  the negative space around the figure is important.it compares to the pauses or rests between note in a piece of music. I'm really exited and I hope to see you all there. You can purchase tickets at the door.Check out Artspans' website at www.Artspan.com.
